A GERMAN PATTERN 1933 HOLBEIN DAGGER FOR THE SCHUTZSTAFFEL,
dated 1940, with broad tapering 8 5/8in. double-edged blade etched with the motto 'MEINE EHRE HEISST TREUE', the obverse with the 'RZM' mark above 'M7/14' and 'RZM 1051/40 SS', plated furniture (some minor moth-nipping), ebony hilt inlet with an eagle and swastika device and the 'ss' roundel (reverse of grip with smoothed out small loss and repaired crack) and complete with its black finished scabbard with plated fittings (one screw absent at locket) and in an 'RZM' marked leather frog with 'DRGM' marked diecast clip, 14 5/8in. overall in scabbard
